Located in the vicinity of Batu Caves, about 14 miles north of downtown Kuala Lumpur, is the imposing statue of Hanuman, "The Monkey God". Along with Vishnu, he is one of the most important Hindu deities, fighting against the armies of demons. You can find statues and depictions of Hanuman in most of Asian, from India to Sri Lanka to Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, reaching the Philippines, China and Japan. The largest statue of this god is in Paritala, India, and stands 41 m high, making it one of the 15 largest statues in the world. This one is 15 m high, and it's impressive enough. If you come from the train station coming through the side door is easy to find, but if you walk through the front of the Batu Caves you may not see it.
