Utrecht Central Station is the Netherlands' largest railway station in both area and volume of passengers. It is a strategic hub for Dutch railways, and any delay or problem in service at this station could affect the rest of the country. Intercity trains lead to almost any Dutch city and there are trains that connect with other major European hubs such as Frankfurt.
