Stari Grad

The 'Stari Grad' (which in Croatian means 'old city') of the paradise island of Hvar is located approximately 30 minutes from the center of Hvar, by bus, and recommend having a visit. The city, which is clustered on a deep bay, is surrounded by a landscape dotted with olive groves and vineyards, being one of the oldest in Croatia, as it was founded in 384 by Greek sailors. Stari Grad is little, and just as many years ago, it is centered around its harbor. It is a pleasure to walk down its promenades. It overlooks the pretty stone houses, some with Greeks remnants, craft shops and small inns and taverns.
