The only Catholic church and the ugliest
Before the Religious Reformation (which occurred in Scotland during the seventeenth century) the whole building belonged to the Catholic Church, but obviously, it is something of the past. Catholic devotees have had to wait a long time to be treated at least as equal. That has created places like this, modern, bland but functional, in this case even located in the marginal zone of Stirling (in Raploch), but with only one day of Mass (Sunday 11.00 and 18.30). But it's always good to know the location in case it were necessary. The most historic aspect is its name, St. Margaret of Scotland (although originally from Norway 'The maid of Norwey'), a medieval queen who fought for the Catholic religion, for pilgrims and religious orders.
