St. Pierre Square
This is a little square behind the big church San Pedro of Avignon. It's a place that's now not as touristy as Clock Square or Palace Square. Here you can have a beer in peace because there isn't a lot of foot traffic or noise. More than anyone else the people of the neighborhood come here to enjoy the shady terraces when the weather's good.
Around the square, there are private residences that are very typical of this province. The majority of them have a beautiful renovated facade, and they now serve as apartments, while before they belonged all to the same family. Big trees, like banana trees, give shade to the plaza during summer.
