St. Joseph School and Parish

El COLEGIO SAN JOSE de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, fue fundado en el año 1893 y fue el Primer Establecimiento Educativo Privado de esta ciudad que adoptó los métodos y materias de la Enseñanza Oficial en este país. Ha sido declarado PATRIMONIO HISTORICO DE LA CIUDAD, dadas todas sus características y no sóo por su edificio , al cual se adosa la PARROQUIA DE SAN JOSÉ, sino también por la cantidad de DESTACADOS EX-ALUMNOS que han egresado de sus aulas. Ocupa casi toda la manzana, su entrada principal es por la Calle Bartolomé Mitre al 2455, pero es tanta su superficie, que cuenta con dos esquinas muy concurridas de esta capital, la que da a la calle Larrea y la de la esquina de calle Azcuénaga, adonde tiene su sede la Iglesia. Entre los nombres de sus destacados ex-alumnos podemos contar con los políticos Hipólito Yrigoyen y Ricardo Balbin; los Prelados Juan Nepumuceno Terrero y Santiago Copello, los Generales Mosconi y Ricchieri, el Perito Francisco P. Moreno, que tanto recorrió el Sur Argentino y tantos aportes hizo. También estudiaron en sus aulas el Jurista Internacional Luis María Drago y los Historiadores Ernesto Quesada, Diego Molinari y Félix Luna. Otros que estudiaron en él fueron el novelista Ricardo Payró, el artista plástico ángel Della Valle y los destados Pedro Luro, Patricio Peralta Ramos y Pedro Lagleyze.
