St. Colman's Cathedral
Great Cathedral and great interior. Cobh, formerly Queenstown, is a mandatory stop and was the last stop of the Titanic before it set sail for America. Following the Irish trend the outside was built with granite, but it is French Gothic in style. It has the largest carillon in Ireland and its tower is topped with a soaring spire. In summer there are plenty of religious music concerts. It overlooks the entire city and I loved the spectacular view of the Bay of Cork from the cathedral door. Access: pretty good (though if driving you have to navigate through little narrow streets). Parking: next to the building.
