Constitución Square

6 reviews of Constitución Square

A good place to enjoy some wine and pamper yourself!

The beautiful square where the town hall is located is situated in the heart of Comillas. The set of houses surrounding the 18th Century square, while the church dates back to the 17th Century. In the basement of these houses you can find numerous cafes and taverns where you can sample a good red wine and Iberian sausage. We also found a great grocery store specializing in specialties, such as lobster pudding, cheese boards from the region, handmade pasta. A good place to enjoy some wine and pamper yourself!

The Constitution Square is located in the historic heart of the town, just behind the lively Run Campios. Two are the most notable buildings of the square: Old City Hall, built in the seventeenth century (now Centre and House of Culture), and the Church of St. Christopher, also of the seventeenth, whose main entrance opens onto the square, in which they worship the Christ of the Shelter (patron saint of fishermen). On the perimeter there are some popular mountain type homes, which include verandas and wooden galleries. On one side of this square opens the Run of San Pedro, a small square where old used bowling or doing dances. It's a shame that this place is not pedestrian.

Excellent
It reflects the typical Cantabrian architecture and its cobbled streets that come in the station that you come.
