Square and Church of the Christ of Tacoronte

Esta Iglesia de pura cantería canaria, grande por fuera, su frente imponente, pero pequeña y simple por dentro, alberga la segunda imagen de Cristo más venerada de Canarias, después del Cristo de La Laguna. Los primeros patronos de la Iglesia y antiguo convento fue la familia portuguesa de los Pereyra de Castro, y ellos mismos trajeron la imagen a Tenerife en 1661. Recomiendo encarecidamente a todos, la visita este año en las Fiestas Mayores del Cristo en Septiembre, ya que se celebra el 350 aniversario de la llegada de la imagen a Tenerife. Como punto de interés también nombrar el púlpito en madera polícroma, así como el artesonado de la parte más antigua del techo.
