Sports River-port Walk

Formerly called Porto de San Xoan and dating back to the twelfth century, this small jetty is a great place for activities and is often used for sports and leisure pursuits in the waters of the river Miño. Beyond the Place de l'Etoile is the beautiful river promenade, with a small beach next to the town known as "Marina Beach" and across the river are wonderful views of the fort in the Portuguese town of Valença do Minho.
