New York Harbor
The port of New York has been one of the key points in U.S. history since the seventeenth century, for great business, becoming one of the most important ports in the world. It is impressive to approach the port, which has been the scene of many movies, and see enormous skyscrapers. Already in the nineteenth century, immigrants from all over the world, mostly Irish and German, came to New York via its port to settle in the then young country. New York grew rapidly and became an important port city. In addition, ease of navigation boosted industry and trade and allowed it to make fortunes.
