A traveller and a tourist
One of the things most exciting things about travelling to India is the unpredictability because with all the waiting in train stations, airports, places to eat and lodging, it's normal to change your itinerary due to flight cancellations. We had this happen to us. Our flight, all those until further notice, from Varanasi to Kathmandu was cancelled due to a recent flood, and there was no choice but to trust "Saint Christopher" (the traveller's saint) and take a jeep to the border along partly flooded roads, bad visibility and huge volcanic craters. It was an 8 hour drive, the closest thing to an exodus, dodging cows, and trying not to break any bones to during the countless bumps to Sonauli.
