Playacar

There are special places, all however crowded, in the Playa del Carmen, called the Private Estate in Playacar. Yes, it is clear that 95% of people traveling to the Riviera Maya, makes one of these magnificent hotels, where you are treated like a Mayan king, their home for a while. Anyway, it is not incompatible with the Riviera Maya to explore beyond the stunning beach located in front of your hotel, lying in a hammock with a cocktail. I speak of going a little bit, just a little, beyond the stunning beach that begins on one side of Camren beach and runs along the coastline of Playacar. And it is just beyond this stunning sandy beach where the opening to the authentic and wild Riviera Maya, an area unknown to many, can be found.

It is an area where the hotels and tourists disappear, where vegetation appears, where the waves hit the rocks and small sandy clamshells can be found. From the hotel where we stayed, the Riu Playacar, it is not much more than half an hour's walk along the beach to this part of Mexiko which is not so artificial and crowded and where you can find relaxation, tranquility and natural beauty. Upon arrival you will notice immediately that it seems as if the beach disappears suddenly encountering a fairly sharp rock that blocks the way to sea. A small path, between the vegetation, leads to that rock platform, from where this different view can be enjoyed. With a little care and between sand and rocks (not very appropriate to go barefoot), a series of little coves, crescent shaped, can be found one after another. Pristine sand, beaten and shaped by the force of the waves, seem endless. Walking around these creeks you can still come across some people - it is inevitable. Even perhaps some fish and the odd curios. It remains a good experience to have this so close to the official beach of Playacar and its luxurious mansions. I really enjoyed my visit and it was well worth it. In many of the creeks the force of the waves and the water rising enough, curiously generate a kind of low wall in the sand. The real attraction is to sit on the sand that gets wet and dries instantly and to watch the colors of the sea and the Riviera Maya to Cozumel Island in the background - this is priceless. Walk around the rocks carefully looking at the shellfish species is also not a bad idea, albeit with appropriate footwear and with a little care, because there are some waves that can be treacherous. In short, without great effort and not too far from the Riviera Maya, something so great can be found that it should be advertised on the Internet and in travel catalogs. Let us know and concentrate on enjoying another Riviera Maya less artificial and crowded, a Riviera Maya much more wild and natural.
