Skrebatno – Velgoshti

15 km northwest of the town of Ohrid, is Skrebatno mountain village, the starting point of this hiking tour. You have to follow the red road markings when you leave the center and go up to the church of the Dormition of the Mother of God. Here, you can admire a wonderful view over the lake and rest under the oak trees while drinking the water from the stream that runs down the mountain. The path is partially covered by leaves, making it softer to walk on. At the top, 1400 meters high, the landscape changes. On the way down, you can see the monasteries of St Petka and St Elijah. The course is 9 km in total with an altitude of 1000 meters.
