Imprisoned for 12 years
The Tower of London was used as a prison for politically important people, nobles, etc. Walter Raleigh sailer, pirate and politician was imprisoned here for 12 years. He wrote "History of the World", was relieved of his pain but eventually recaptured and beheaded. The room in which he was confined has reconstructed furniture.
