Silk House
Casa da Seda is an old watermill on the river Fervença that has an interactive museum that's part of the Science Center Alive of Bragança. The exhibition is on 2 floors and explains the entire process of silk production, from the worm's life cycle through processing and dyeing of silk fabrics. The peculiar thing about the museum is that it's interactive, so it's ideal to visit with children as it's playful learning. There's a small TV room where the process of natural silk fabric is explained as a story (in Portuguese). Entrance is: 2,5 € (which includes a visit to the Living Science Center). Hours:
