Castle belonging to the family Hohenzollern

Excellent

In the town of Sigmaringen there is something that surprised. Its castle. This fort, which has views of the valley from the top of a rock, is one of the ancient ruins of the powerful Hohenzollern family, one of the most important in the former Prussia. The 1st Sigmaringen Castle dates back to the 11th century, it is the 1st time that there are references to it, although it was reconstructed many times due to many fires that destroyed it. What we see today is how the castle was in the year 1901. The castle can be visited on tours only in German, but there are guides in different languages, such as Spanish.

The schedule: March to April 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm May to October 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm November to February 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 pm The price of admission, adults 12 € (8 € with discounts), 6 €. The visit is advised, as we will see preserved rooms, and many currencies in a castle more than a century old. It is heated and has lavatories. At the end of the tour you will reach the armory where weapons and armor from around the world were collected by the family. This castle is not the most famous, and that helps visits are of smaller groups, and we appreciate all their details, which are many. Moreover, even today people still live in in.
