If you come to Istanbul for the first time you can not stay in any other neighborhood than Sultanahmet. This is where the landmark buildings are located and where Istanbul has its earliest origins. The neighborhood is full of little hotels, among them the Pension Side. Located in the heart of Sultanahmet,it is basic but clean, with plenty of hot water. It's comfortable and great value, the best thing about it is its terrace. From there, where you can have breakfast and an evening picnic with your food, you can see the domes and minarets of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The views are amazing of a few places, and you areso relaxed, you'll see them up close.
