Shoreham Hotel

Ho soggiornato allo Shoreham Hotel per 7 notti nel periodo di set. 2011. L'hotel è situato nel pieno centro di Manhattan sulla 55esima strada, fra la 5a e la 6a. L'hotel è moderno, elegante e molto confortevole; lo staff è molto disponibile, cordiale e molto simpatico. Nel mio pernottamento era incluso anche internet, sala fitness e macchina del caffè. Stanze: la mia stanza, come quella dei miei genitori e dei miei fratelli, era piccola, ma molto accogliente; letto morbidissimo e comodissimo, camera dotata di scrivania, poltrona, frigobar, ripostiglio con ferro da stiro e cassaforte e tv piatta alla parete, ovviamente c'era anche un bel bagno dotato di tutti i confort (tranne il bidet) con una doccia molto grande. Unica pecca della stanza è che la moquette non era molto pulita e sotto il letto c'erano 3 dita di polvere e la stanza non è molto insonorizzata (io sentivo tutte le macchine che passavano sotto l'hotel e la gente che parlava e poi faceva anche molto rumore il frigobar) e per chi fa fatica a prendere sonno potrebbe essere un problema.

I stayed at the Shoreham Hotel for 7 nights during the set. 2011. The hotel is located in the heart of Manhattan on 55th Street, between 5th and 6th. The hotel is modern, stylish and very comfortable, the staff is very helpful, friendly and very nice. In my overnight stay was also included internet, fitness room and a coffee machine. Rooms: My room, like that of my parents and my brothers, was small, but very cozy, soft and comfortable bed, room with a desk, chair, fridge, closet with iron and safe and TV flat to the wall, of course there was also a nice bathroom with all comforts (except bidet) with a very large shower. The only flaw in the room is that the carpet was not very clean and there were 3 fingers under the bed of dust and the room is not very soundproof (I felt all the cars passing under the hotel and people talking and then made too much noise the refrigerator), and for those who find it hard to sleep could be a problem.

El hotel Shoreham merece mucho la pena. Me alojé con mi pareja en él en abril del 2008 durante 5 noches; lo encontramos buscando en internet, fue nombrado mejor hotel boutique creo que en el año 2007. Muy buena localización para ir al Lincoln Center, a Central Park, a la 5ª Avenida,... En general para moverse por todo Nueva York. El personal es muy atento y amable, necesites lo que necesites solamente tienes que pedirlo (reservas de restaurante, de entradas, transporte,...) especialmente Elisabeth que habla un perfecto español y nos ayudó en todo lo que le pedimos. La habitación es correcta en lo que se refiere a tamaño, muy limpia, con una cama grande y muy cómoda, tv de plasma, baño amplio con bañera grande, y sin ruídos. Puedes tomar todas las infusiones y los cafés que quieras en recepción de manera gratuita, así como llenar botellas de agua en la máquina que hay en el gimnasio, también gratis. Internet gratis en el lobby. No es una ganga pero repito, merece la pena, a nosotros nos hizo sentirnos como en casa.

The Shoreham hotel well worth it. I stayed with my partner in it in April 2008 for 5 nights, can find it by searching the internet, was named best boutique hotel I think in 2007. Very good location to go to Lincoln Center, Central Park, 5th Avenue, ... In general to move around New York. The staff is very attentive and friendly, Whatever you need only have to ask (restaurant reservations, tickets, transportation, ...) especially Elisabeth who speaks perfect Spanish and helped us in everything we asked. The room is correct in regard to size, very clean with a large and very comfortable bed, plasma TV, spacious bathroom with large bath, and no noise. You can take all the tea and coffee you want in a free reception and fill water bottles in the machine that is in the gym, also free. Internet access in the lobby. Not a bargain but again, worth it to us made us feel at home.

Siguiendo las recomendaciones aquí leídas, mi chica y yo nos decidimos pasar este puente de Diciembre de 2011 en este hotel. 5 días, cada noche a poco más de 200€/noche. Una pasta, pero hablamos de NYC y un viaje especial que llevábamos tiempo planeando. Las primeras dos noches, nos dieron una habitación poco más grande que la cama, cama por cierto donde yo no cabía de largo(mido 1.90), y de esas que te hundes por el medio. Además nos encontramos un par de calcetines bajo la cama, supongo que de los anteriores huéspedes. Las 3 siguientes noches tuvimos otra habitación, esta vez con un tamaño razonable. La cama era igual de corta y blanda. Pero lo mejor era la calefacción: en NYC, en Diciembre y con 4 grados de máximas, nosotros no teníamos calefacción!! A pesar de que reclamamos a la recepción una solución, lo máximo que conseguimos fueron un par de mantas!!! Y todo esto durante tres noches seguidas, una pena la verdad. Siento tener que dar una opinión tan negativa, pero NO RECOMIENDO este hotel.

Following the recommendations read here, my girl and I decided to spend this bridge December 2011 in this hotel. 5 days, every night to just over 200 € / night. A paste, but talk about NYC and a special trip that we took time planning. The first two nights, we got a room slightly larger than the bed, bed by the way where I did not fit in length (Mido 1.90), and those that you sink in the middle. In addition we found a pair of socks under the bed, I guess the previous guests. The next three nights we had another room, this time with a reasonable size. The bed was as short and soft. But the best thing was the heat: in NYC in December and 4 degrees high, we had no heating! Although we claim to receive a solution, the most I got were a couple of blankets! And all this for three nights in a row, a shame the truth. Sorry to give such a negative review, but do not recommend this hotel.

El hotel es minimalista, muy moderno,todo blanco con toques de mobiliario y decoración en verde. Lo que más nos llamó la atención fue el ascensor con luces de colores y música disco! Lo mejor es que hay una máquina de café 24h y de uso gratuito, también te puedes preparar un té o un chocolate calentito. En este hotel coincidimos con los del US Open españoles como el padre de Verdasco,su entrenador y un reportero de Teledeporte, casualidades! Lo recomendamos por su buena ubicación.

The hotel is minimalist, very modern, all white with touches of green furniture and decor. What caught our attention was the elevator with colorful lights and disco! The best thing is that there is a 24h coffee machine and free to use, you can also prepare a tea or hot chocolate. In this hotel we agree with the Spanish and U.S. Open Verdasco's father, his coach and a reporter Teledeporte coincidences! We recommend it for its good location.

Estuvimos 3 noches en marzo y todo estuvo perfecto. Conseguimos un 3x2 desde la web del hotel, por lo que nos salió muy barato comprando con cualquier otra web de reservas. ¡Ojo con los taxis no oficiales al aeropuerto! Le firmé el recibo de la visa en papel y lo manipuló... Aún estoy reclamando.

We stayed three nights in March and everything was perfect. Got a 3x2 from the hotel website, so it worked out cheaper buying any other booking site. Beware of unofficial taxis to the airport! I signed the receipt for the visa in paper and manipulated ... I'm still claiming

Estuvimos buscando un buen hotel y céntrico durante mucho tiempo y al final nos decidimos por el Shoreham. No dudo que hay mejores hoteles y mas baratos pero este es totalmente recomendable, sobre todo por su situación, cerca de todos los sitios.

We were looking for a good hotel, centrally located for long and in the end we decided on the Shoreham. No doubt there are better and cheaper hotels but this is totally recommended, especially for its location, close to all sites.
