Sheffield

Sheffield is a large city in northern England, more or less 4 hours from London, and can be easily reached by train from St Pancras Station or by bus from Victoria Coach Station. By coach - for example with the company Megabus - the prices start at £1 and its rare that they get to more than £10. In other words, it's much cheaper than the train. Sheffield is one of the old industrial towns of the north. There's been a lot of investment in programmes of renovation and cleaning making the city more modern and pleasant than it was 20 years ago when industry ceased to dominate the region. Among the things that you have to do, in the centre with the enormous Town Hall and gardens and emblematic buildings like the Lyceum Theatre and the Central Library.
