This library was the greatest discovery I made during my stay in Paris. It became a bookstore in August 1951 by George Whitman and has become an essential place for booklovers to visit(and for those who are not it is still an exquisitite place to see). It has two floors, the ground floor features the current books and the top floor is a haven full of faded and old novels waiting to be read. On the upper floor access to books is free, so you can spend ahile sitting in a chair and listening to the murmurs of Paris. For me, a must. Impossible to forget.
