Sequoia National Park is a national park located in the southern Sierra Nevada, east of Visalia, California, United States. Created in 1890, it was the third to be created after Yellowstone National Park and the now disappeared Mackinac Park. The park covers an area of ​​1635 km². A characteristic feature of this park is the famous forest of giant sequoia, which includes General Sherman. It's the largest tree in the world, known for its spectacular height. It is 84 m high and 11 m in diameter, and so far has lasted 2200 years. The largest branch has a diameter of about 2 m. This tree is also the most voluminous in the world, with a 1 ton trunk and a base with a 31m circumference! Inside the park is Mount Whitney, the highest peak in the U.S.

It made me seem insignificant

Being surrounded by nature with years and years of life, it was amazing to see these ancestors trees around me. It made me seem insignificant, like when you look at the Empire State from one of the streets of New York. Definitely highly recommend.
