Capela do Senhor da Pedra

The Chapel of Senhor da Pedra is situated in the district of Miramar, in Vila Nova de Gaia. Its location is very original and unusal, as it is in the middle of the beach of Senhor da Pedra. To reach it, there is a path of wooden planks jutting out onto the beach which takes us halfway. The rest of the track (which is a short distance), runs along the beach itself, making it convenient to visit the chapel with beach shoes or even flip flops, to make it easy to go walk on the sand. The chapel is beautiful, both from the outside and inside, and it has lovely views of both the sea and the beach. The visit to the interior is free.
