A haven in the big city for shopping

What better place to do some shopping in San Diego Bay? That is the Seaport Village, a unique place with tons of tiny shops of all kinds and for all tastes. Or eat with a view of the ocean on a clear day. Here, just behind the Hyatt hotel, a bit northwest of the Palace of Congresses, is a "mini-city" that has about 70 shops and restaurants of all types. No cars are allowed and it is an ideal place to take a walk while entering the small shops selling everything from hammocks to traditional toys or cookies. There's something for everybody. The stores do not exceed 2 stories in height, most are from outside and wood and traditional smell and invite to come and see what is hidden inside.

There are countless flea market stalls around the nearly 8,000 square feet in extension. Really, you must enjoy a totally different zone of the large city. It is a haven amid the chaos of the city, and why San Diego is not New York, is quieter. But this is like an oasis of tranquility. From time to time, and when time permits, make outdoor concerts and many of the shops, exhibits of all kinds. Above the shops, you can go crazy with the amount of things there, most traditional or decorative objects but to delight more than one. One that caught my attention was a store like toys and antiques in which, as well as posters and plaques of all kinds, you can find old games and even Monopolys from your favorite bands. There are also local restaurants and curious, as the "Pier Cafe", by the sea and with stunning views of the bay and Coronado Bridge linking the city with the island of the same name. To get there, plus a walk, the best way is to get off at the tram stop and walk a Gaslamp Quarter just north and behind the Manchester Grand Hyatt, is here. It does not disappointed.

I love San Diego!

Excellent

Seaport village is in a beautiful spot in a gorgeous City, and it has its quirks but overall this place feels a little on the cheesy side. The shops are cute, but everything comes with a price of course.

A tourist must see.
