Colorful homes
My visit to Villajoyosa is one of the best memories I have of my trips to Costa Blanca. After having delicious paella, we went out to explore the promenade near some houses which caught my attention.
It was only once we arrived at the beach that we could enjoy the colorful houses so evocative of the Caribbean. Their location has made them basically an emblem of Villajoyosa and one of the stand-out monuments in this lovely summer town.
Not far from there is the Chocolate Museum, the motive of my second visit to Villajoyosa, and something which shouldn’t be missed by anyone.
The truth is that, from what I could tell, the colorful houses belong to local workers and people who live in Villajoyosa year-round, with maybe a tourist or two thrown in as well.
