Scarborough Castle
The first inhabitants of this castle seem to be Romans, where there was a reference for building ships or lighthouse. The castle is located above the village at a very high spot. It was built in the S. XII century. What was built then became the base of the castle as it is known today, which over the years evolved through reforms to acquire its final structure. The views from it are stunning (from the highest tower), spotted leaving Scarborough Bay, the beach and part of the surrounding area and the northbound Coast. The castle destroyed, it is actually almost in ruins. A full visit can last about 2 hours, so make sure that you go with enough time.
