Buddhism originated

I found this historic place very close to Varanasi. It's where Buddhism originated. In this park (known as Deer Park) was where Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, gave his first speech on the ways to travel the path of Dharma. Today it's a place of worship where faithful pilgrims from around the world come to worship in the Dhamekh Stupa, built where Buddha once preached.

Sarnath, the Buddha's first sermon

Before leaving Varanasi, Sarnath we pass a Journe, which is located only 13 kilometers. This is here that the Buddha gave his first sermon, Sarnath. C'tait the monsoon season, and Buddha remained here the whole time of the monsoon. Sarnath is one of the most important places of Buddhist sacrs the world. The sacred place is located in the deer park. There is a pile of stone, Stupa Dhamek. This is where Buddha preached his first sermon 2,500 years ago. This call sermon "setting in motion the Wheel of Dharma" sums up the major Buddhist principles. The original stupa dated 2nd century and the 7th Remani. It measures 35 m high and 30 m in diameter. There are also the reference of the Bodhi tree under whose branches the prince Siddhrta attained enlightenment. It was then known under the name of Buddha. Sarnath is one of four places in the pilgrimage dvots must visit. In the neighborhood are the temples by Buddhist rigs Asian Nations: Core, Japan, Thailand, China, Manyar (Burma) and Tibet. The museum is full of paintings and sculptures, Buddhist and Hindu, found during the excavations.

Not the most interesting site in Varanasi.

The site of Sarnath is a sacred Buddhist site where the Buddha would have delivered his first sermon. Interesting for the story. But is the site worth the trip? Yes, if you are really fans of history and ruins. There are so many extraordinary things to see in India that it makes the less sumptuous sites less interesting.
