Santiago do Iguape

Fui fazer uma caminhada fotográfica e me encantei pelo lugar bem simples, pacato e rústico, perdido do mundo. Santiago do Iguape foi fundada pelos jesuítas em 1561, e hoje é uma pequena vila de pescadores e pequenos agricultores quilombolas, pertencente ao município de Cachoeira na Bahia, fica à beira da baía do Iguape, que é formada pelo rio Paraguaçu. A principal e única igreja da vila é a Igreja Matriz de Santiago do Iguape, construída pelos jesuítas, é a primeira igreja fundada no interior da Bahia. A igreja original foi abandonada e acabou por ruir, mas em 1783, foi reconstruída como está atualmente. A festa principal da matriz é realizada todo ano no dia 25 de julho. O nome Iguape é originário dos índios e quer dizer, "lugar existente no seio d'agua".

Sempre vou em Cachoeira fotografar, um belo dia estava atrasado para fotografar uma festa e resolvi entrar em Santiago do Iguape, para almoçar, quando vi a cidade sem estrutura nenhuma, logo em frente tinha uma lanchonete e de lá avistei a Baia de Iguape

I always go in Waterfall shooting, one day was late to photograph a party and decided to go in Santiago do Iguape, to lunch when I saw the city without any structure, just across the street had a snack bar and from there I saw the Baia de Iguape
