Magnificent Byzantine mosaics
Very close to Santa Maria Maggiore with an unimpressive entry compared with that of other Roman churches is Santa Prassede. I confess that I crossed the threshold of the church (one of thousands in Rome) and what was inside surprised me greatly. The magnificent Byzantine mosaics the Cappella di San Zeno, the most important of Rome. It is highly recommended to go to the Eternal City and well, in the same church is the 1st work of Gian Lorenzo Bernini - the tomb of Bishop Giovanni Battista Santoni.
