Santa Cruz Island
Santa Cruz Island is not the largest of the Galapagos Islands but it is the most populated. we reached the island by regular flight landing on Baltra Island, then climbed on a boat that lasted about 15 min. Once there we took a taxi to Port Ayora, and there are several hotels in the area and the locals are friendly. The locals were very attentive to the tourists. The highlight is the wildlife such as sea lions, boobies, pelicans, herons, crustaceans, iguanas, turtles etc. I have to stress that most of the wildlife is hidden beneath it's waters. We couldn't fail to observe a geological formation of these special islands.
