Il Miradouro De Santa Caterina è uno dei più famosi di Lisbona, raggiungibile a piedi dal Chiado e dal Bairro Alto, percorrendo una lunghissima scalinata, così come con la funicolare De Bica, per i più pigri o per chi proprio non ce la fa. Al di là della vista panoramica, davvero spettacolare, sui tetti di Lisbona e sulle acque del Tago, questo miradouro si presenta come un luogo molto piacevole e accogliente in cui fermarsi per una pausa. Sono infatti presenti numerose panchine all'ombra degli alberi e anche un chioschetto con tavoli e sedie, dove sostare bevendo una bibita o una birra fresca. Curiosa è la statua di Adamastor, il leggendario gigante dei mari che troneggia nel miradouro incarnando le tempeste e i pericoli affrontati dai naviganti portoghesi durante i loro viaggi.

Aquí es donde suelen acudir tras el trabajo o la universidad para pasar el rato o tomar algo. Lo que viene siendo una zona de ocio, vamos. Pero, sin duda, lo mejor es que se tienen muy buenas vistas de toda la cuidad con el mar de fondo y el río Tajo.

Andaba yo un poco despistadilla, subiendo y bajando por las estrechas calles de Bairro Alto, cuando en la cima de una de las 7 colinas en las que se asienta Lisboa, decido girar a la izquierda, por aquello de no seguir al barullo. Cual es mi sorpresa cuando tras andar unos 50 metros por esta calle salpicada de pequeños restaurantes, llego a un mirador, o miradouro, -como se dice en portugués- que quita el hipo. Al poco me entere que estaba en el mirador de Santa Catalina, con vistas al estuario del Tajo, al Cristo-Rey, -una estatua con ganas de parecerse a la del Cristo Redentor de Rio de Janeiro-, y al imponente puente del 25 de Abril. Lo mejor del mirador, a parte de las magnificas vistas, es su terracita donde a parte de tomarte una imperial - caña-, siempre hay alguien animando el ambiente con bombos, guitarras. En la época de las fiestas de LIsboa, suelen montar un escenario con conciertos que duran hasta la noche. Unas vistas inolvidables desde uno de los lugares con más encanto de Lisboa.

Vistas increíbles, recomiendo ir al atardecer con unas cervezas. Hay un ambiente genial, cuando yo estuve había música en directo.

En el bar que hay en el mirador puedes tomarte una cerveza, vino, café... a precios muy populares. Las vistas son inmejorables del puente 25 de abril y del tajo.
