Santa Ana Convent
Santa Ana Convent is in Viana de Castelo, just where Viana is cut in two by the railway that separates the historic center from the residential area. We visited the convent by chance as we were impressed by the front of the church (Baroque style). While taking the picture an old man asked if we wanted to visit the convent, we gratefully agreed and enjoyed the rich interior. It was founded as a convent for noble daughters taking habits and today is a nursing home.
