Another village that preserves a splendid medieval core is Palau Sator, with remains of a medieval castle and the Hortas tower that guards the entrance to the walled enclosure. To savor the quiet antique town it is worth going a short way down to the Romanesque church of Sant Julia de Boada, in a cozy corner with a horseshoe arch inside.
