Sangrelaya

This year I began the adventure of my lifetime. I went to live in a community called Sangrelaya Garifuna of African descent, situated in the eastern part of Honduras near the Honduran Moskitito. It is a place full of culture, music and smiles. There are extensive beaches, lagoons and mangroves with a rich variety of nature. The typical food is made from coconut and features a huge variety of flavors, the music makes your heart pound to the rhythm of the drums, the sunsets are breathtaking especially if they are accompanied by flocks of pelicans that ply the sky in search of a place to sleep.
