An abandoned town in a lovely area

The town name suggests a negative tone. We are also talking about a village that was begun in the middle of the last century, but beyond mid-1970, was left. We don´t know the reasons for the sudden abandonment, because the environment where it is lovely, but I'm sure there was some compelling reason for the abandonment of these fertile lands as related to the ocean and fishing . I do not know, come to think of cold, you may have to do the little land that has this sort of cape that binds to the La Barrosa thanks to a narrow strip of land occupied by the road and the end of the Sancti Petri beach.

The town that visitors see today is made up of a large block flanked by a road that goes around, made up of of semi-demolished house and solar full of scrap metal and dirt. As you can see in the photos, it isn´t not advised to go inside the bowels of the town by the danger of actual collapse of the structures. You can see buildings and rooms, which in its day was surely a beautiful church and a number of dilapidated buildings. Although the ruins, I must say that the town has its mystery and charm, especially by the sea environment, fishing port and surrounding pipes. Of course, not everything is going to be negative, there is a thread of hope for this town in the future, since in Chiclana tourist office assured us that there is already a plan to rebuild the town and make this site a attractive place for tourism, so I hope that in a few years, any other user can upload photos to date and most beautiful village of Sancti Petri.
