San Xiao Chapel

San Xiao Chapel is located in Aloia Natural Park, about 30 km from Vigo. It is an eighteenth century structure, built on the remains of an ancient Roman temple. Nearby, is Via Crucis and the viewpoint of the Great Cross which dates from 1910, with a stunning view of the river Minho and Portugal. The exterior features buttresses, a simple arch and a belfry bell. The chapel consists of a nave and is surrounded by an indigenous forest of lush vegetation and beautiful traditional Galician stone.
