This hotel is in a prime location, halfway between Santander and Bilbao, next to the Natural Reserve of Santoña. It’s in an old 17th century manor whose stables were transformed into the current restaurant. It’s a haven of peace if you are stressed and is a place to relax, read, swim in its great pool, and walk around the area. It has beautifully manicured gardens.
I took a weekend escape with my boyfriend in Cantabria (he'd never been before) and we found this hotel by chance on the internet. The website looked good, but what we found when we found it (pun intended, it's a bit hidden) exceeded our expectations.
The staff was very attentive, the views from the terrace at breakfast were insurmountable, and the gardens and private woodlands were great to explore. But the best of the best was the semi-covered pool! Great for a dip no matter what time of year!
It's also very close to the Santoña wetlands (worth visiting), Santander, and Cabárceno Park (a real joy).
This is an awesome super-romantic hotel in a wonderful place. The rooms are huge and the kitchen is spectacular. They have a massage station that's way out in the woods and it's perfect for those of us who come stressed out from the city.
Also, there are lots of different towns nearby like Noja and Laredo which are great for day trips. They have a nice, cozy pool that’s a far cry from the huge, charmless facilities of the big chains. Recommended 100%.

This hotel has 16 rooms divided into 3 suites, 6 superior and 7 regular rooms, all elegantly furnished with artwork and antiques. Every detail is taken care of, both in the rooms and in bathrooms. This small apartment complex is surrounded by its own private forest, swimming pool, gardens and beautiful scenery. It has a restaurant offering international cuisine.
