Phra Kal Shrine

This sanctuary is unique for many reasons. The 1st is because it is within an enclosure that serves as a "roundabout" and the 2nd it is a temple overrun with monkeys. It is beside the railway line and a bit dangerous so I would say be careful and look across the road. It was constructed taking advantage of the sanctuary of an old structure prang and inside houses a 4-armed deity who represents Vishnu. You will meet many vendors but mostly people selling peanuts to the monkeys and the occasional releasing birds. The latter, in exchange for a small charge lets you drop a bird before he allegedly made a wish come true.
