For fans of fairy tales... on the beach!
San Marino is one of the smallest countries in the world, located within walking distance of resorts such as Firenze or Venezia. This tiny town is situated high on the coast of Rimini in the region of Emilia Romagna, Italy. It is certainly something that the package holiday tourists skip when getting to know Italy for the first time. However, one can not say that is unknown or has few tourists, at least during the month of August. San Marino is a medieval city, which is charming, very well preserved and very romantic. In addition, the proximity of other very different places, such as the huge beach of Rimini, or Tuscany, crossing the Apennines, make this a very appealing destination and allow you to explore further afield from the standard tourist destinations in Italy.
