San Lucas Tolimán
Tolimán San Lucas is one of the less touristy villages in the region of Lake Atitlan, in the area of Solola. From San lucas, you get on the road to Escuintla. I really like this route because of the capital or Antigua - Guatemala, the colonial city, which I really like. It is a humid tropical zone along the road, with people selling coconuts and bananas. Then the crossing to Saint Luke, where you begin to climb. The weather gets colder, and in half an hour you're on the mountain. San Lucas is a traditional village, yet there is not much tourism here because most people go to Atitlan. So you can appreciate a beautiful village with traditionally dressed people, an authentic and friendly atmosphere.
