San Lorenzo Cathedral
The Cathedral of San Lorenzo is the main religious building in Perugia. It was finished in the fifteenth century, although its construction and planning lasted for more than a century. Like most historical monuments in Italy, this cathedral is worth seeing on the inside due to the richness and value of art it houses, but if you don't have time, or have any friends who are interested in religious art, surely you'll be satisfied just seeing its facade. It's a well-lit building at night and, paradoxically, its liveliness is encouraged by the many young people who sit on their steps leading to the Plaza of November 4.
