After passing the Monte do Gozo, we decided to rest overnight in Santiago before going to the pilgrim mass at 12:00 in the cathedral. We chose the Hostel St Lazarus, which is at the entrance of Santiago, and is easy to get to. The hostel was almost empty when we arrived (about 11 am), as it's a government-run Camino hostel, in which pilgrims have to leave by 8 am. There are common rooms with bunk beds, and each bed has a locker where you can leave your valuables while you visit Santiago. It has laundry, showers, cooking, reading and TV lounge and everything is very clean. The price is 10 Euros,
