Towards San Francisco and other towns
Trains can be expensive in the United States: not the case in California. Caltrain are actually very reasonably priced and with practical schedules. To go from San Jose to San Francisco, you may well have a train every hour, and a ticket for $5. Diridon Station, the one for Caltrain in San Jose, is rather small, and has a snack shop with sweets (a bit expensive), but that is unfortunately the only thing close to get something to eat. The bathrooms: clean. The waiting room: spacious and comfortable.
