7 reviews of Biking from San Francisco to Sausalito

Exciting bicycle tour

If you're staying in San Francisco for a few days, be sure to take this exciting bicycle tour. It starts from Fisherman's Wharf and travels up the bay of Sausalito, crossing the legendary Golden Gate Bridge. You can rent a bike at Blazing Saddles, which has numerous branches throughout the city, all of which provide detailed maps. The entire route is 13km long, so you can return to the starting point by ferry at pier 41, where you can relax with 30 minutes of great scenery, including the island of Alcatraz and the famous San Francisco skyline. The path runs along the bay, passes the Exploratorium, where you can see the fake classical ruins of the palace of Fine Art, and stretches to Fort Point, the best place to get good views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
