San Antolín´s Feasts

The patron party of Medina del Campo is held on the 1st to 8th of September in honor of San Antolin. The beginning is at 12 am, marked by the placement of the Spanish flag at the top of the Collegiate Church it is one of the biggest acts that takes place. On the morning of the first day "giant and big heads" parade and some of the traditional "clubs" offer typical local products, soft drinks, pastries. In the afternoon, also in Plaza Mayor, there is the proclamation of the "Guardesa" and her ladies. But the holiday could not take place without the bulls. "Closures" bulls have been recently declared a National Tourist Interest.
