Suitable for everyone

In the heart of the Cibao, in the Dominican Republic, you can find the city of Jarabacoa and its mountains at the beginning of the cheerful Jimenoa River, which lends its name to the 30 meter tall waterfall. You can get to Al Salto (by Route 2) by walking on a shoreline trail and suspension bridges. Before accessing the park, there's a parking lot for all vehicles, then you go through the checkpoint where you pay a small fee. There are some rules about entering. You can't have a radio or loud music that might disturb the peace. You can only cross bridges 4 people at a time. No sudden movements while walking on bridges.

No littering. After reaching the end of the trail, the waterfall will greet you with its long, sparkling arms with blue-green waters (when not raining). You can't swim in this natural pool because hurricanes have made it deeper and more dangerous, however, there's another natural pool below, which is suitable for everyone. It's advisable to bring your own drinking water, but next to the waterfall there's a small snack shack. How to get to Salto? There's a public transport, so you can arrive in your own car or hire a "motoconcho" that are stationed along the road, or take a trip by motorcycle from Jarabacoa. It doesn't matter how you get here, you'll enjoy the charm of this city and its attractions.
