The home of the Mormons
Salt Lake Temple is the heart of the Mormon religion, an imposing 63 m high granite church that stands out in the center of Temple Square, surrounded by manicured gardens and fountains, as well as administrative and religious buildings. Non-believers may not enter, and even Mormons themselves must have a special permit to access the building. Its construction took 40 years, and it stands adjacent to the dome-topped Temple of the Tabernacle, where you can admire a wooden organ with 11,600 pipes.
