Salle Vecchia

Nel 1915 un violento terremoto colpì l'Abruzzo e così il borgo antico del paese di Salle, all'interno della Riserva regionale Valle dell'Orta fu abbandonato e il centro abitato fu ricostruito più a valle durante il ventennio fascista. Oggi nella vecchia Salle sono visibili i ruderi delle abitazioni e soprattutto il Castello Genova dalla pianta irregolare e risalente a un periodo antecedente all'XI secolo. Attualmente ospita l'interessante Museo Civico del Castello Baronale di Salle Vecchia.

In 1915, a powerful earthquake struck the Abruzzo region, and so the ancient village of the town of Salle, within the Reserve regional Orta Valley was abandoned and the town was rebuilt in the valley during the Fascist period. Today in the old Salle can see the ruins of houses and especially the Castle Genoa by an irregular plan and going back to a period prior to the eleventh century. It now houses an interesting Museum of Baronial Castle of Old Salle.
