Saint Sophia's Cathedral

This cathedral was built by Prince Yaroslav in the first half of the eleventh century. When translated from Greek "Sophia" means wisdom. Because of that, the Sofia Cathedral in Kiev has become a symbol of light, wisdom and victory over the dark forces.
