Piazza Sant'Oronzo

The spectacular Plaça Sant'Oronzo is the heart of this beautiful baroque city. Here you can still see the ancient amphitheatre. The square is named after the patron saint of Lecce, Sant'Oronzo, who is said to have protected the city during the plague epidemic that spread throughout the kingdom of Naples.
